Phrase Coining

I hate to say it because it has been said so many times before, but trout really do live in beautiful places. I'm not sure who coined the phrase and I'm not even sure who coined the phrase "coin a phrase", trout in our neck of the woods have quite the view. Fall is starting to show it's color palette in Logan Canyon. To Ricardo and I, that just means the trout are starting to feed more aggressively as the waters start to cool. It also means the waterfowl season is just around the corner.... but that's for another post. We stayed close to home, took in the vistas, and caught a few fish. The power went out at 5am and the Top of Utah Marathon had main street busy. It was nice to head up the canyon knowing we'd be leaving those problems behind.

Ok, do you really want to know who coined the phrase "coin a phrase"? Click here, but don't forget to come back.... http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/coin-a-phrase.html

So this fish fell for a fly that I threw together last night. I literally made up it as I went. Sweets doubted its effectiveness, this is my proof, it was effective. In fact, before losing it on a rock, it brought 3 fish to hand. Ha, doubters....

Rivers, Horses, and One Really Mad Kitty Kat

The last couple of weekends have been your typical go fishing, get a warning from a conservation officer, camping, and pet little itty bitty kitty cat type of outings. Below are a few shots from the last two weeks. Sorry, no fish porn.

Dude, you're like 20 feet away, do I really need to talk to you on the walkie talkie?

10 minutes before this picture was taken, Boomer fell down a cliff. No, really, a cliff! He started sliding and then did a back flip, slid down back first, and nailed a huge boulder at the bottom. By the time I got to him he had made it to the river to soak in the cold water. I always wonder what he's thinking. Right here he's thinking "I'm getting to old for this shi....um crap"

There's a free candy bar to the first person that can post a reply and tell me what this is...

One week later, and he's still got the "fly-skate" look going....

....At least he can cast

....He likes horses....

He's doesn't like strangers...

I posted this because you can see the Virgin Mary in the flames
